The Official Web Site of the State of South Carolina

DEW offices and SC Works centers across the state will be closed from Tuesday, December 24 to Thursday, December 26. We will reopen on Friday, December 27. Please know that unemployment payments may be delayed depending on your bank's holiday schedule.

Wage Garnishment

Employers now have the option to make Wage Garnishment payments electronically. This can be done by accessing your Employer Self-Service (ESS) portal and selecting the Wage Garnishment Payments link underneath the Actions Required section. Wage garnishment payments can also be made through your payroll service/third-party vendor by following the Guest Payment link if they do not have access to your ESS portal. From either location, you will enter the information on the individuals you will be making a payment for, and you will be directed to the online payment portal to make the payment. Please note that DEW utilizes SC.GOV for online payments.*
