hackers and other cyber threats. I monitor networks, identify vulnerabilities, and implement security
measures to keep information safe. It's almost the perfect combination of being a detective and playing a
video game all day. It’s challenging because there are constantly new threats, and no one wants to be on
the front page of the paper with a data breach. While my computer science degree helps me a great deal,
this is the type of job that requires continuous learning and training to keep up with the latest trends."

Information Security Analysts plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of
computer networks and information. Assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement
risk mitigation strategies. May ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files
and vital electronic infrastructure. May respond to computer security breaches and viruses.*
