“My great-grandparents sat on the porch to cool off or lit a fire on the stove to get warm. Nowadays, people want to flip a switch. That’s where I come in. This work is really a specialty that most people can't DIY themselves, but it is extremely important. My favorite part of the job is when an older person calls for service and I can get their HVAC system fixed so their house is cooled off or warmed up so they’re safe. Since we all like our homes just at the temperature we like, I guess that’s job security for me.”
