“I wasn't sure if college was right for me, so I started my career as an electrician through an apprenticeship with a master electrician. I did that for a little over two years and then took my journeyman electrician exam to become licensed in the state. Now, I work with electrical systems like wiring and circuits to make sure everything in homes and buildings has the power it needs to work properly. I enjoy it because I get to see everything light up and work smoothly after I've fixed or installed something.”
