"The goal of my job is to protect society while caring for and making sure individuals are accountable. But I really see my job as a mixture of a lot of jobs combined. Sometimes I act as a counselor or social worker, combined with police work, court appearances, and other meetings. The diversity of the job keeps it interesting, and it's rewarding to see people change and overcome obstacles in their lives!
There can be days when it's a little draining, but overall, I like what I do. I think being a probation officer is very valuable to society and it can be very beneficial to the people we serve."
