"Serving as a speech-language pathologist is a passion of mine because every single day is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids. To see toddlers and children overcome communication challenges and become confident in their speech is empowering. When I was younger, I also needed speech assistance, and my counselor was awesome! She was patient with me, kind, and truly cared about my growth. We would play different speech-related games and do fun exercises, which made me feel better about myself and feel good about my accomplishments. Her love for her job and the love she showed for her clients, including me, really shaped me to be the professional I am today. I just really want to help our young people regain their independence and confidence in their speaking, like she did for me!"
