"I feel lucky to be a welder in South Carolina right now. With all the huge infrastructure rebuilds, new projects are starting, and new jobs are opening every day. And the thing that most people don't realize is how many different types of welders there are. Once you know the basics, you can choose different specialties or work with different types of materials.
Regardless of what you choose, everyone in the industry likes that it's a hands-on job and being able to see tangible results of the work. Those are two of the biggest reasons most of us chose this job. It’s pretty cool to see the state getting better and knowing that I was part of that."
