"My son practically grew up in our family-owned boat manufacturing plant. Seeing the changes from manual processes to more computers being used, he understands the math and science behind the automated processes. Over the years, he has become a skilled fiberglass laminator, forming boat decks and hulls. He and I have been fortunate to get fiberglass technology training from one of our vendors, and he’s taken some courses at our local technical college to fill in the gaps.
Working in a family-owned business with my son gives us an advantage because he brings new knowledge and innovation that keeps the business efficient and competitive. It's great knowing our company will continue building boats for folks to enjoy on South Carolina rivers, lakes, and coastal waters for many years to come."
