"Museums are often thought of as a place to relax and learn new things, but from a work perspective,
it may surprise people to know just how fast-paced my job is! Not only do I get an up-close view of local
history and art, but I also help present that culture to our community.
Each project is different! Along with the responsibility of keeping permanent exhibits fresh and topical,
we have temporary exhibits that give our team the chance to learn about new artists, cultures, styles,
and history. There are so many things that go into creating the best space to display our exhibits. I’ve had
to string wire from a ceiling, change out flooring, update lighting, print out display signs, and more! It’s a
team effort, but when you see someone connect with a piece of art or history you really understand
the value of what you do. That will always be my favorite part of the job."Interested in this occupation? Download the job flyer here!
